MSH Medical School Hamburg

    The MSH Medical School Hamburg – University of Applied Sciences and Medical University is a private, state-recognized university in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg based in the HafenCity. It was founded in 2009 by the managing director Ilona Renken-Olthoff and started in 2010 with six courses. Since then, the range of courses has expanded to include a large number of bachelor's and master's courses. MSH unites two faculties: The Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Human Sciences.

    The MSH covers a wide range of research topics. To bundle research topics and to work on important thematic fields in future, research cluster have been introduced. One of the research clusters is the cluster: International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) – Utilization and Implementation. The aim of the research cluster is to examine the utilization and implementation of ICF in Germany. All the research approaches are in accord with WHOs objectives.

    MSH already included ICF-CY into training curricula on bachelor level and organised the 2nd and 6th ICF-CY AnwenderInnenkonferenz in DE 2014 and 2018.

    M.Sc. Katerina Todorova works as research assistant and PhD student at Medical School Hamburg. She is the operative manager of “A common language for the first 1000 days” activities in Hamburg.
